IT'S A COLORFUL LIFE

It’s a Colorful Life

An exploration of what we leave behind when we’re gone. Of not being, but being. Simplicity. Space. Interiors. A piece of ourselves. This ongoing essay purposes to investigate the different ways we leave this world. The pictures document the familiar, known and unknown. There is an important duality here, a question: How do we leave, or, what is our own condition, when we die? and How do we leave the world, as a continued thing, or, in what condition, without us here? This is not an exploration of the question of “How will I be remembered?” or the desire to be remembered, but rather the idea that, at our death, our homes continue to hold the color of our lives. Here are a few photographs of these pieces, these colors.
